Green guilt

Since it is now so trendy to "go green", I am starting to have guilt feelings about something.

I am a magazine junkie.  Every month I enjoy all my many magazines, sometimes tear out the pages I want to keep for inspiration (not like I ever do any of the things they show, but still), and then the guilt comes. Should I throw them away?  But there perfectly good still.  Should I donate them to a Dr's office, or a hospital?  Right like I would ever make the time to do that.

So what do I do?  I'm thinking I could leave them in a box at the supermarket, like those "free kittens" boxes we all see.  For now, I have just been putting them in my blue recycle barrel. Cuz I'm so green now ya know.

Who wants 'em?

Two things you can do:

1. Get some friends. No really. I have a friend for whom I collect my New Yorkers. Every month or so I drop them off at her house in a plastic bag next to the door. No need to stay and chat if you're on the run.

2. FREECYCLE! I can't say enough great things about Freecyle. You post a message, people email you, you pick someone, and they come to your house to pick it up. You could leave it in a plastic bag next to the door if you don't want to chat.

3. Get a plastic bag and some doors because you're going to need them.

We should swap our stashes. Just toss them over the fence! Maybe we could make a collection box ...
