Cheetah Girls, Cheetah Sisters!
I took the princess to the Cheetah Girls concert last week. Just a mommy daughter night at the toxic waste center in Salt Lake. Now I, being the "mom" thought I had better dress so that I would be invisible, so my daughter could have it be HER night, (even though I have a rockin' animal print shirt that would have been so cute).
When what to my wondering eyes should appear...? As soon as we walked into the concert I was overwhelmed by all of the "plastic" moms at that concert. I am talking Dr. 90210 all the way. These moms all had 20 inch waists, perfect face structure and thousand dollar "cheetah" outfits. And they were all with their 8-12 year old daughters. I mean, come on! Isn't this supposed to be your daughters night? I was starting to get worried, thinking that maybe this is the way mom's are supposed to look, and maybe my daughter was disappointed in me for just looking like , well... a mom. The princess just looked around at them all and said to me, "They must wish they were all back in high school, huh".

Ans this is what I got the next day from the princess. A cute little homemade envelope with an even cuter little cootie catcher that when opened said "You Rock!"

The princess rockin' out to the cheetahs

Aren't daughters the best?!

Plastic moms...now that's a mental image I won't soon forget. I'm so glad you went as a normal mom. You rock! I'm not sure I'd be able to handle a Cheetah Girls concert, even if I did have a daughter.
You do rock!
(And plastic melts. So there!)
What a fun date. Mine and I really missed out.
That's awesome...I had to do this for my sister when she was in HS... it was a teeny bopper concert and I wished I had the ear plugs the parents had sitting in front of us.
...and kids are so honest - YOU ROCK and she hit it perfectly... Moms like that... seriously make me think they have issues growing up.
That is great that your daughter is not embarassed to be seen with you, given the fact that so many teenagers think their parents are so lacking in coolness that they don't even show up on the coolness radar. Kudos for not taking the plastic mom route.
You rock! and me too! (I took the girls to the High school musical concert). . .I didn't noticed quite so many plastic moms though.
Fun! Fun!
